Organizational Structure

The COCAP Structure

Nepali non-governmental organizations dedicated to peace and human rights are invited to apply for membership in COCAP. All members participate in the general assembly, which serves as the highest decision-making authority. This assembly convenes annually to assess previous activities and to update policies, plans, and programs for the upcoming year. During these annual meetings, the assembly determines the number of new memberships to be awarded for the following year and addresses the potential removal of members who do not comply with COCAP’s vision, mission, goals, and objectives. At present, COCAP comprises 43 member organizations. Each member organization, along with COCAP, has committed to the policy of establishing issue-based alliances with a wide range of human rights, peace, and social organizations.

COCAP is governed by a Central Executive Committee consisting of 14 members. Of these, 13 members are elected by the General Assembly, while a representative from the volunteers is chosen through the volunteers’ General Assembly. The executive committee convenes quarterly. Additionally, COCAP has established seven Provincial Secretariats, one for each province.

The volunteers select their own committee to serve as the core group responsible for coordinating volunteer efforts and organizing voluntary campaigns. These volunteer core groups operate at both the National Level and within all Provincial Secretariats.

Note : COCAP Organisational Structure will undergo a replacement.
