Digital Security Training for Women Human Rights Defenders (W/HRDs)| Kathmandu

At a time, when the whole world is using digital media, the majority of people are prone to online abuse, violation of internal data, and much more due to a lack of proficient knowledge about the same. Keeping in mind the importance of proper use of digital media, COCAP imparted ‘Digital Security Training for Women Human Rights Defenders (W/HRDs)’ to 22 members of the Peer Learning group from Madhes Province, in Kathmandu on May 28th and 29th. 

The two-day residential training focused on topics including ‘Secure use of digital platforms, ‘Secure Communication’, ‘Civic Space and Cyberlaw of Nepal’, ‘Encryption Technology’, ‘Malware and Fishing’, and managing security in social media accounts among others.
